Find A Wickerman Geocache And Be Rewarded!

This year the Wickerman Festival has hidden a number of Geocaches around parts of Scotland each containing goodies for the lucky finders and in some of the boxes there is a single weekend ticket to this years festival!

What is A Geocache?

Geocaching is an fun outdoor activity in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and can also contain items for trading,

Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica. As of May 2, 2010, there are over 1,055,904 active geocaches around the world. You can find more geocaches at www.geocaching.com

How Can I Find One?

We have listed the box locations in the right hand column of this page which displays information on each cache which includes a map, the important GPS coordinates and a hint on where to find the cache. The number of boxes will increase over the next year so keep checking this page.
